IIT JAM 2023 exam shall be conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati in the month of February 2023, the result for the same shall be published on the official website in the month of March 2023. Candidates qualifying in JAM 2023 will be eligible to apply for admission to over 3000 seats in IITs for the academic year 2023-24.
JAM Scores are used for admission to programs such as M.Sc., M.Sc. (Tech), M.Sc.-M.Tech. Dual Degree, MS (R), Joint M.Sc. – Ph.D., M.Sc. – Ph.D. Dual Degree, and Integrated Ph.D in various institutes.

Pattern of Exam-
Test Papers will have three objective type of questions:
(i) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs),
(ii) Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and
(iii) Numerical Answer Type (NATs) Questions.
Examination will be conducted in SEVEN subjects namely Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, and Physics. The medium for all the Test Papers is English only.
Test Papers will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) where the candidates will be shown the questions in a random sequence on a computer screen.
The duration of the examination will be of THREE hours.

A student can appear for IIT JAM two times. The first time is in its final year of graduation and the 2nd time is 1 year past graduation.
IITs offer Master of Science (M.Sc.) degrees through JAM exam. If you are interested in studying IIT you can give IIT JAM exam to take admission in IITs.
You must have passed your bachelor degree with not less than 55% of marks. 10th and 12th marks does not matter for JAM.
